Tam Coc, also known as “Ha Long Bay on land,” is a popular tourist destination located in the Ninh Binh Province of Vietnam, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Hanoi. Tam Coc is a scenic area featuring limestone karst formations, rice paddies, and the Ngo Dong River.
The name “Tam Coc” means “three caves,” and it refers to the three natural caves that visitors can explore by boat: Hang Ca, Hang Giua, and Hang Cuoi. The boat ride takes about two hours and offers stunning views of the karst formations and surrounding countryside.
