The Hanoi Social Club được thành lập vào năm 2017 bởi Varanon “Lue” Phrommala (bass), Osamu Sakurai (guitar/hát) và Alice Catherine (accordion/hát) ở miền Bắc Thái Lan, Bamboo Tambourine tạo nên phong cách sáng tạo trong lồng tiếng và nhạc reggae gốc, nhạc jazz manouche, psychedelic rock, đôi khi với một sự tinh tế của Bắc Phi, với cảm giác nhịp điệu và cách sáng tác đa văn hóa, tràn đầy năng lượng. Họ đã cùng Daniel Eiland (bass) tham gia chuyến lưu diễn âm nhạc tại Việt Nam vào năm 2018 và chỉ giới hạn ở cùng một quốc gia trong thời gian toàn cầu ngừng hoạt động 2020-2022. Trong thời gian này, họ đã có được một tay trống là Seb Urinovsky. Vào năm 2022, hai nhân vật trung tâm của nhóm, Alice và Osamu, đã cùng tay trống Robert Arthur Mackeen tham gia chuyến lưu diễn đơn giản đến Nhật Bản và thành lập hoàn toàn với tư cách là một bộ tứ tại Việt Nam cùng năm, lưu diễn lại với 50 nghệ sĩ trên một chiếc xe buýt trong một tháng trong Rec Tour khét tiếng.
Thứ Năm tuần này, họ sẽ cộng tác với thơ của Manuel Orkestar để thành lập đơn vị Bamboo Tambourine Orkestar. Vì vậy, hãy chờ đợi để xem Bamboo Tambourine, nhưng với một chút thay đổi!

Formed in 2017 by Varanon “Lue” Phrommala (bass), Osamu Sakurai (guitar/vocals) and Alice Catherine (accordion/vocals) in Northern Thailand, Bamboo Tambourine stylizes creations in dub and roots reggae, jazz manouche, psychedelic rock, occasionally with a North African flair, with an energized, cross-cultural sense of rhythm and songwriting approach. They were joined in 2018 by Daniel Eiland (bass) for a musical tour in Vietnam and confined to the same country throughout the worldwide shutdown of 2020-2022. During this time, they gained a drummer in the form of Seb Urinovsky. In 2022, the central figures of the group, Alice and Osamu, joined drummer Robert Arthur Mackeen for a stripped-down tour of Japan and formed fully as a quartet in Vietnam the same year, touring again with 50 artists on one bus for one month on the infamous Rec Tour.

This Thursday, they will collaborate with Manuel Orkestar’s poetry, to form Bamboo Tambourine Orkestar unit. So, expect to see Bamboo Tambourine, but with a twist!
