Bánh Mì Phượng Hội An

Bánh Mì Phượng Hội An is a sandwich shop located in the ancient town of Hội An, in Quảng Nam province, Vietnam. The shop was established in the 1990s and specializes in various types of sandwiches. The shop has become famous worldwide after chef Anthony Bourdain praised it as the best sandwich in the world.

A Bánh Mì Phượng Hội An sandwich consists of thin slices of grilled pork, ham or sausage, pâté, a special sauce and various herbs and pickles such as cilantro, mint, cucumber, carrot and onion. The bread is always crispy and firm, and is kept warm in a steamer. The shop offers more than 20 different fillings, ranging from traditional Vietnamese ones like spring rolls, mixed meat, pâté… to Western-style ones like cheese, bacon, smoked meat. The sandwiches are priced from 20,000 to 30,000 VND depending on the filling.

Bánh Mì Phượng Hội An is a must-try delicacy for anyone visiting Hội An. The shop is open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and is located at 2B Phan Châu Trinh Street, Minh An Ward, Hội An City, Quảng Nam Province. The shop also has a branch in Seoul, South Korea, which opened in 2019.
